What I do at the club: Club Secretary and also help with field maintenance When I’m not doing archery: Helping to look after one or more of my 8 grandchildren. Now retired from my occupation as an electrical safety inspector on offshore oil and gas installations. Archery Goals: Just to continue to enjoy shooting. Favourite Archery moments: Warm and sunny days on the field. Strange but true: I was the first person ever to receive a phone call from a passenger on a commercial plane flight! Contact: WhatsApp or email to nethermossarchers@gmail.com |
What I do at the club: I am the Club Treasurer and help out with the beginners courses. When I’m not doing archery: IT Consultant in the Freight Forwarding industry, F1 fan and film lover. Archery Goals: Retain my self-declared position of club eye-candy (it’s not a high bar to overcome) and not to be swayed by the dark side aka compound archery. Favourite Archery moments: Shooting outdoors on a calm sunny day with the prospect of a cold cider or 2 afterwards. Strange but true: My superpower is being able to plunge my hand into a Warburtons blue loaf and always pull out 6 slices. Contact: Drop me a line on WhatsApp MAINTENANCE OFFICERBob Ellis |
What I do at the club: Membership secretary at the moment, have been CPO. Do some mowing with Bob, bits of special birthday celebrations for members!! Oh and I start beginners off with archery. When I’m not doing archery: How long have you got……. I was a primary teacher, for many years on supply, more recently looking after golden oldies (mum 94 and Mum in law 96) and young uns and granddaughter. Love travelling. I have recently taken up sewing again, making masks etc during lockdown. Now I have found quilting and patchwork again on my vintage sewing machine (1934). I have always loved music played the guitar and more recently the ukulele and been in choirs. Archery Goals: Hitting the target obviously!!!! Favourite Archery moments: First big competition was Merseyside championships after shooting only for a couple of years where I won first lady second class archer, best gold, first place lady recurve and club team member. I might have won a raffle prize too!! Strange but true: In Rockchoir, we were the backing singers for Russell Watson at Southport Theatre. Didn’t get paid of course, he would use local choirs in each place he performed. Contact: Whatsapp, mobile and email or just talk!! RECORDS OFFICERNigel Kerr |

What I do at the club: Look after the website, ideas and contributions welcomed. Currently working on creating the Development Plan for the club. When I’m not doing archery: Happily retired and busy being a husband and father to three children. When working I managed IT, people, money, and suppliers in large organisations like Booking . com, Littlewoods, NBrown and also did stints in the worlds of distribution and the NHS. Archery Goals: Recovering from a shoulder injury after falling on mud – still doing physio and have been unable to shoot for many months and getting very fed up of watching others shoot! Working to complete my Archery Coach training. Favourite Archery moments: Shooting on the field on an early summer morning – hard to beat; love to see beginners delight when they start to hit the target. Strange but true: I was very nearly decapitated by the wing of a light aircraft. Contact: Drop me a line on WhatsApp |
